BIRFA was formed in September 2015 to recognise and represent the important contribution independent reinforcement steel fabricators make to the reinforced concrete and wider UK construction industry.
The Association provides a focal point for the independent reinforcement sector, giving members a collective voice without the influence of individual steel producers or importers. This independence allows BIRFA to represent the practical needs and interests of fabricators, contractors and the wider reinforcement supply chain.
BIRFA members are committed to high standards of quality, safety and responsible supply. By engaging with organisations including CARES and BSI, the Association contributes to discussions surrounding certification, technical standards and issues affecting the future of reinforcement in the UK.
Together, our members provide experience, capability and choice across a vital part of the UK construction supply chain.
